Matthew Mannion, Bass-Baritone, is a multifaceted and talented young artist based in Dublin, Ireland. His recent accomplishments include his Swiss debut singing Un Chasseur in Rossini’s Guillaume Tell, and performing as a soloist with the Wexford Festival Singers, Goethe Choir Dublin, and the Guinness Choir.
In the 23-24 season Matthew will sing with Irish National Opera in their company chorus, sing the role of Flora’s Servant in their production of La Traviata and cover Colline in their La Boheme. He will also appear with Nouvel Opera Fribourg in Guillaume Tell as the Chasseur and as a soloist with the Goethe Choir, Wexford Festival Singers, Guinness Choir and Dublin City Choral Union.
As well as being an active performer Matthew is also very passionate about teaching and pedagogy. He currently teaches in Dublin City University, and the Dublin School of Music as a Vocal Tutor. He also teaches privately. Matthew has multiple years of teaching experience and is always adapting and growing with every student he works with.
